It's built directly from the same underlying donation data used for overall campaign reporting, just organized and sorted at the individual level rather than aggregated to a single campaign total.

Coaches and program administrators typically use the leaderboard for internal tracking purposes: identifying top fundraisers worth recognizing publicly, spotting participants who haven't started sharing their page yet and may need a reminder or some encouragement, and getting a general sense of engagement levels across the full roster rather than just the campaign's combined total.

Because the leaderboard is built on real-time data, it reflects current standing at any point during the campaign, not a snapshot from an earlier check-in. A coach glancing at it mid-campaign sees exactly where things stand at that moment.
