Roles & Organizations
A student, athlete, or band member fundraising on behalf of their program, with their own individual campaign page.
A participant is a student, athlete, or band member fundraising on behalf of their program, and is the individual unit that peer-to-peer fundraising is built around. Every participant added to a campaign receives their own personal fundraising page nested under the main campaign page, along with a unique share link tied specifically to them.
When a donor gives through a participant's individual page or share link, the donation is credited to both that participant's personal total and the overall campaign total simultaneously. This dual crediting is what makes individual-level reporting, like a participant leaderboard, possible without requiring any manual reconciliation between individual and campaign totals.
Participants are typically added to a campaign in bulk by the program administrator or coach at setup, often using a roster imported from existing team records. Once added, each participant can access and share their own page, and coaches or administrators can track which participants are actively sharing versus which may need encouragement or a reminder.
Individual participant tracking supports fair recognition, since a team captain or top fundraiser can be identified by actual numbers rather than general impression, and gives administrators an accurate picture of engagement across the roster, not just the campaign's aggregate total.
Individual participant tracking lets administrators see exactly who raised what, which supports fair recognition and accurate reporting to families.
HypeRaise gives coaches, boosters, and parent volunteers the tools to run a centralized, transparent, and effective campaign.
